Wes McWhorter, Vice President of Construction
Since 1990 Wes has advanced through all levels of estimating, project engineering and project management to become a leader with the company that sponsored his internship. As the Vice President of Construction with LCG Pence, Wes leads the project management and estimating efforts of the firm, balancing resources with project requirements as they evolve through successive phases of construction.
His analytical and computer skills were instrumental in the development of a proprietary computer systems framework that integrates state-of-the-art estimating, scheduling, cost control and document tracking systems with a seasoned project management approach. Under his leadership, the LCG Pence team has been particularly successful with value engineering and cost savings measures – assuring our clients that they will receive the best value on their project. By maximizing material alternatives, construction technique improvements and workforce utilization matrixes we have consistently achieved an average of 2 – 5% of value added savings on nearly every project.
In addition, Wes leads the in-house mentorship program, utilizing that structure to streamline the monthly project review process and to maximize a total quality approach to project delivery. Education:
